Sharon Blu was born and raised in Haifa Israel. Blu was a First Lieutenant serving as an operations manager in the Israeli Air Force. In addition, she earned her LLB and LLM from law school which led to her admission to the New York Bar and Israel Bar associations. Blu is also the owner of Red Velvet bakery in Tel Aviv.

As an artist, Sharon Blu makes mixed media pieces, ranging anywhere from acrylic to ink, that are bursting with vibrant colors. Blu paints seemingly familiar forms and shapes but with a unique twist that results in visually pleasing abstract artworks. Blu never knows how the painting will look in the end because she draws from emotion throughout the process and without planning. This leaves an unfinished element in the painting that symbolizes an open door for change as well as a good surprise.
