Born July 14, 1970, in Detroit Michigan.  Son of a metal smith and the grandson of an Italian immigrant automotive machinist. 

After a brief stint in the military, Matteo turned his focus to the family metal fabrication business. Growing up in a metal shop alongside two generations of metal workers, Matteo was able to perfect his craft of technique then, ventured to develop his own identity and began exploring form and sculpture. 

Today Matteo works exclusively in aluminum, concentrating on simple geometric compositions in the pursuit of impactful designs.
